Night at the Trots 2023 - Team Teal's gala event

15 Mar 2023

The 14th annual Night at theTrots was held on Saturday 25 February at Tabcorp Park Melton. ANZGOG and WomenCan were pleased to welcome over 200 people to enjoy world-class trotting while raising funds to help women with ovarian and other gynaecological cancers live better, and live longer.

Generosity filled the room all evening as guests generously bid on over 60 silent and live auction items, purchased raffle tickets, and took a chance on the lucky ballon draw. We were pleased to see that all auction items were taken home by very happy guests, while four lucky winners took home wonderful raffle prizes and Team Teal Ambassador Jackie Barker won the Lucky Balloon draw! All funds raised from these activities have contributed to the overall Team Teal campaign total of over $2.5m since it began in 2010.

WHAT THE FUNDS ARE USED FOR

Funds raised during Night at the Trots and through the Team Teal campaign support ANZGOG’s Survivors Teaching Students program (STS). STS is a ground-breaking volunteer program that brings ovarian and other gynaecological cancer survivors and caregivers into the classrooms of health professional students to teach them about women's experiences with the diseases. The funds further support the ANZGOG Patient Referral Network program, which will enable capacity building for gynaecological cancer clinical trials in regional and remote areas across Australia and New Zealand enabling more women across Australia to have access to new and innovative clinical trials.
