Orchid Hovering - Kay Armstrong
This piece started off as a butterfly. It morphed into a dragonfly, then became an exotic orchid. Like all of us, I think it’s still evolving.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Kay had a long career based in Sydney as a contemporary dance artist. However, in the last three years, she has shifted her focus to visual arts. Expanding her movement practice onto the page, Kay has been investigating movement in the 2d form – mark making, layers, fusing mediums together. Tandem to her visual arts practice, Kay also mentors emerging dance artists, as well as facilitating creative workshops for community organizations who work with artists with disability and people at risk such as Milk Crate Theatre, Beyond the Square, Sydney Street Choir, Sydney Street Choir, Art Gallery Of NSW, Campbelltown Arts Centre.
