A wonderful evening at Globe Derby, filled with several Team Teal activities. Ranging from the ‘Teal Brick Road’ where stallholders donated an item each to make a raffle prize for patrons who followed the teal brick road all the way through to being eligible to enter the draw, to the major raffle and Hygain hat sales, with proceeds from all going to Team Teal. WomenCan Campaigns Manager Ella Meehan spoke in the Committee Room, and also trackside, to build awareness of Team Teal and ovarian cancer with attendees.
Further, it was a very successful night on the track, with 3 wins being clocked for Team Teal, the most notable being the world’s most successful horsewoman Kerryn Manning coming over from Victoria to take out the South Australia Cup.
