The 12th annual Night at the Trots took place on Saturday 27th February at Tabcorp Park, Melton. We are excited to announce that the night raised a whopping total $97,320!
WomenCan were joined by 271 guests to enjoy a night of world-class racing, featuring the Lyn McPherson Breed for Speed series finals, entertainment and a delicious three course meal, together supporting women with ovarian cancer to live better and live longer. Activities across the evening included the teal balloon cash prize draw, a silent auction, raffle and live auction. Guests heard from Michelle Gonzalez, ovarian cancer survivor and Survivors Teaching Students volunteer, who shared her touching story, Team Teal Patron, Duncan McPherson OAM, Steve McGhie MP, Member for Melton, Dale Monteith, HRV Chairman & HRA Board member, and WomenCan's very own Head of Fundraising and Development, Karen Livingstone AM. The evening was hosted by the ever-brilliant MC, Des Dowling.
We are thankful to everyone who came along on the night and for their incredible generosity, as well as our loyal principle sponsors - Woodlands Stud, Alan Mance, A.G. Coombs, Haras Des Trotteurs and IRT Australia. And as a bonus, there were 2 reinswoman wins on the evening! Funds raised support ANZGOG's Survivors Teaching Students and Research Nurse Grant programs.
