ANZGOG's endometrial cancer study, ADELE, opens to recruitment

18 Mar 2022

ANZGOG’s endometrial cancer study, ADELE, has officially opened to recruitment after activating its first site, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.

The trial, led by Principal Investigator Professor Linda Mileshkin & co-chair Dr Yeh Chen Lee, seeks to improve outcomes for women with high-risk endometrial cancer and who have a significant risk of relapse after standard post-operative treatment with chemotherapy & radiotherapy.

“Given increasing evidence that immunotherapy can benefit some women with advanced endometrial cancer, we hope that adding this to standard treatment in the post-operative setting for those with high-risk disease may help to improve outcomes for women.

In addition to the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, the study plans to open at a further 22 sites in ANZ, with a target of recruiting 135 participants.
