When Steve's daughter was diagnosed with uterine leiomyosarcoma, he did what most loving parents would and threw himself into finding anything that could help.
Sadly, because the cancer is so rare and because gynaecological cancer research is one of the most underfunded types, there wasn't much to find.
Seeing his daughter suffer because of the lack of funding and research into these diseases is what prompted him to meet with us. Steve is driven to help raise awareness and funds for research, which is why he supported matched giving to maximise the impact his money could have.
