Survivors Teaching Students
Survivors Teaching Students is a ground-breaking education and prevention program that brings ovarian cancer survivors into the classrooms of medical and allied health students to share information about ovarian cancer symptoms, a women’s path to diagnosis and their challenges of living with cancer.
The program is now working with 15 universities across five states - NSW, VIC, QLD, WA and SA - engaging over 3,000 students in education sessions delivered by over 100+ trained volunteers.
Survivors Teaching Students are always looking for new volunteers to share their personal stories to help drive much-needed awareness of ovarian cancer symptoms. If you are interested in finding out more, get in touch with our team below:
TR-ANZGOG
TR-ANZGOG is a world-class translational research initiative designed to add value to ANZGOG clinical trials for women with gynaecological cancers.
With consent, TR-ANZGOG supports the collection and use of biospecimens from ANZGOG trials for further research.
One of TR-ANZGOG’s key goals is to help find biomarkers that are associated with good response to trial drugs, and, if response is not as good as expected, to find out why.
"Translational research is now front and centre of many cancer clinical trials. TR-ANZGOG aims to support trial investigators to achieve their translational aims, and to support current and future research that will improve outcomes for women with gynaecological cancer." Consumer Research Panel
The Consumer Research Panel is the mechanism for advice and input from gynaecological cancer survivors and their carers to ANZGOG’s various research committees, Board of Directors and members.
The panel helps ANZGOG to effectively represent the needs and expectations of gynaecological cancer consumers and helps set general research directions, priorities, and shape research for ANZGOG.
