The Townsville Ovarian Cancer Team has been fundraising for a number of years in the hope of a brighter future for women with ovarian cancer and their families. By investing in research we are instilling hope in all those currently affected by the disease.
We
remember the Townsville and North QLD ladies that we have lost and honour them
and their families when we advocate and fundraise. Our past
fundraising efforts have included the Janice Mayes Ovarian Cancer Research
Grant that was awarded as part of ANZGOG's Fund for New Research Grant 2021
to Prof Khanna for her pre-clinical concept – ‘An Effective PARP
Inhibitor-CBL0137 Combination Therapy for High-grade serous ovarian cancers
(HGSOCs)’.
