Please help me to support gynaecological cancer research
My dear friends and art lovers,
September is ‘Gynaelogical Cancer Awareness Month’ and as many of you know, this is an issue very close to my heart, having
impacted my mother and close friends.
I have missed my mother every day since
she lost her brave battle with Ovarian Cancer over 16 years ago, and in her
honour, I feel compelled to raise awareness and funds for Gynaelogical Cancer
research.
WomenCan’s campaign ‘HONOUR HER’ aims to do the same, with a donation to this worthy cause helping to fund gynaecological cancer research that will improve life for women impacted by cancer, while also giving you the chance to publicly share your tribute to someone you lost to Cancer.
This year, WomenCan have chosen a painting of mine for their national campaign launch. This painting, which was donated to last year’s WomenCan online auction, received a strong response and it reflects what I saw in my mother – a woman who was feminine, strong and proud – attributes she fiercely hung onto till the very end.
