Peggy Spratt has been painting for many years and used to say that art, along with music, ‘has taken over my life…I have painting to get me up in the morning.’
Peggy was diagnosed with ovarian cancer 3 years ago and died in 2024. Painting during this time was a great solace for Peggy. She felt drawn to the possibility that her art could not only inspire people, but also contribute to research that could change outcomes for other women affected by gynaecological cancers. Peggy's legacy will live on through her art by contributing to ANZGOG's pioneering gynaecological cancer research.
In 2022, Peggy generously donated 20 pieces of art to create the Peggy Spratt Legacy Exhibition with 100% of the proceeds being donated to ensure that women live better and live longer.
