A celebration
We celebrate the life of Frances Beverley Cohen who died Friday 23rd June, 2023.
Bev was a loving wife to Geoffrey, a wonderful mother to Anna, Timothy and Nicholas, caring grandmother, 'Mimi', to 11 grandchildren and friend to many.
Outside of family and friends her passion was travel. Hailing from Tamworth she first started as a Qantas stewardess at the age of 23, going on to found her own travel agency, Wentworth Travel. Bev loved the travel industry, building lasting relationships with suppliers and partners, mentoring many, creating memorable experiences for clients and of course traveling herself. And taking photos of those travels, boy she took a lot :)
Mum's cancer journey came to an end at the lovely Wolper hospital, a journey she took on with inspiring humility and determination. Never complaining, always taking home-made baked goods to the nurses during chemotherapy and when she came back from having her 'cocktail' as she liked to call it, often remarking how lucky she was after seeing people half her age. Then of course, she would get straight back to finishing someone's itinerary. No time to rest when travel calls...
She leaves behind many happy memories and values instilled in us all.
Unsurprisingly, in lieu of flowers Mum would prefer any proceeds go towards helping others. As many of you may know, Mum was part of a medical trial and would appreciate funds donated in her memory.
