Meredith Howse: Oncology nurse turned artist

1 September 2022

Meredith Howse, oncology nurse turned artist, understands the pain and suffering gynaecological cancer can cause. Help Meredith raise funds for gynaecological cancer through art this September.

Meredith feels compelled to support Honour Her through her art. After working for many years in hospitals, Meredith spent a year in the oncology ward at a major Sydney hospital. As she supported those with every type of cancer, she could see that this was a place of sadness, with only moments of joy.

Now an award-winning contemporary artist, Meredith Howse draws inspiration from the world around us all. She finds beauty and drama in natural landscapes, with her art eliciting emotion and allowing the viewer to lose themselves in her paintings.

Meredith’s art has featured on The Block 2021 and was a finalist in the 2022 Doyles and The Clayton Utz Art Awards.

This year, Meredith will donate 50% of all proceeds raised through the sale of her painting ‘Palm Cove’ to raise funds for much-needed gynaecological cancer research.
