Only 2 in 5 women survive five years after diagnosis with ovarian cancer. TOGETHER with your help, We CAN change this.

Earlier detection and diagnosis can change outcomes for women.

There is no detection test for ovarian cancer and symptoms can present as benign common conditions. Many women are misdiagnosed, some more than once, leading to advance diagnosis of ovarian cancer where survival is challenging.

Survivors Teaching Students® is a volunteer program that brings the faces and voices of ovarian cancer survivors and caregivers into the classrooms of health professional students to teach them about women’s experiences with the disease.

“This presentation gave me an insight into what so many women go through and has improved my practice in ways I never thought possible” – Medical student

Initially funded by Cancer Australia, ANZGOG now relies on sponsorship and donations to ensure the continuance of the program.

Your donation to the Survivors Teaching Students program ensures that ovarian cancer survivors can continue to inform medical students about their journey to being diagnosed and what it is like living with an advanced ovarian cancer diagnosis.
