‘Joy’ by Kerry Dodds [watercolour on canvas 10 x 8'' framed]
Primarily a mixed media and acrylic artist Kerry also enjoys working with watercolor’s, inks, and water mixable oils, she is inspired by landscapes both figurative and abstract, but often indulges in purely abstract works or combinations which convey feeling as means of therapy or pure enjoyment.
'I am supporting Honour Her'....
I am inspired for the second year to contribute to this worthy cause, as a two-time survivor of a women’s cancer this cause is close to my heart. On my journey, I discovered that mere strength and determination was not enough for me, I had to find the joy and colour in my days, so for the first time in my life I took up art. Now I am honoured to share it to help others, I feel blessed.
Meet Joy, she honour’s all the women who have or have had women’s cancers, she signifies the courage, strength, and determination with which they undertake treatment and their unrelenting hope for the future.
Joy encourages us all to find the joy and colour in the small things every day.
My hope is that this small painting will bring a spark of joy to its recipient.
